Why the name
From Latin tessella — the single tile of a Roman mosaic.
Risk is never one score. It is a mosaic of small, verifiable signals — each one a tile you can point to. We build systems that compose those tiles into decisions a risk team can explain, defend, and improve, instead of a black box no one can answer for.
What we build
Fusegu is an AI risk-ops team for financial platforms. It screens merchants at boarding, watches them continuously, and turns every decision into ground truth that sharpens the next one — the screening-and-monitoring loop a growing platform can never staff fast enough by hand. AI-assisted evidence gathering; a deterministic policy engine renders every decision, so results are reproducible.

- KYB, MCC classification, and abuse signals at the moment a merchant is boarded — the beachhead, live today.
- Continuous monitoring
- Re-screen live accounts as they drift: content and MCC changes, transaction-laundering, reserve pressure. Onboarding is the entry event; monitoring is the product.

- Every decision is recorded against its realized outcome, so precision is measured, not asserted — the data moat compounds from day one.
- The horizontal risk stack
- KYB → AML → disputes → monitoring, under one contract. Entered through merchant risk; expanding across the stack from there.
Approach
We start where risk is hardest and still owned by humans — merchant onboarding and monitoring for payment platforms and marketplaces — and expand along the horizontal risk stack from that beachhead. Wedge first, platform second.
